Just Launched! — 20 Report Templates for Product Managers

Lucky or wrong — if you only rely on your gut to make decisions, you have a chance of either being lucky or wrong. We know that using data (not your best guess) to make product decisions will give you an edge. Reports in Aha! help you organize, visualize, and analyze everything that is happening with product management. And when you need to see a lot of information at a glance, list reports are your go-to view.

Product managers using Aha! have access to our library of more than 20 pre-defined list report templates and can create thousands more custom reports from more than 100 data objects.

So far, customers have created more than 1 million records in Aha! — that is a lot of data. So we updated how the Aha! list reports work, making it even easier to view large amounts of information at once. Report headers now remain fixed, helping you gain insight into those larger data sets.

Whether you are communicating progress on your product strategy, visualizing the timing of future releases, or prioritizing upcoming features, you can use these reports to answer questions or communicate upcoming product plans.

Here are a few ways to take advantage of product management list reports:

Build reports from a library of templates
Easily build and customize valuable product management reports using example reports from our reports dashboard. Our team of former product managers curated a collection of the most useful reports so you can spend less time building the perfect view and more time analyzing your data. You can access these by navigating to the reports dashboard and selecting example reports. Use the “Record types” and “Report types” filters on the left to find the report you need.
Use the reports dashboard to store all your product management reports and find templates.

Communicate progress against goals
Goals and KPIs are leading indicators for product managers. Communicating their status and delivering on the objectives often falls to the product team. Use a list report to ensure the team stays on track and keep the executive team up to date on your progress.

List reports can include more than 100 different data elements, including custom fields such as “Goal progress” seen above.

Visualize upcoming releases
Imagine that you need to communicate the upcoming product plans with the sales team, but release dates are not always set in stone. The external release dates in Aha! let you share the time frames to which you are comfortable committing. In the example below, we show upcoming releases by month, then shift the time frame to quarter as we get further out into the future.
External release dates in Aha! can be set to day, week, month, quarter, half, or year.

Share popular customer ideas
Share the most-requested ideas across the product team and promote the ones that will make the biggest impact for your customers. You can choose the format that works best for your team. Export your list report as a CSV file, PDF, or publish to a secure web page as an Aha! Notebook.

Fixed report headers make it possible to view a lot of data at once, without losing track of what you are viewing.

Track features across products
Track the status of features across your products to understand exactly when new functionality will be delivered to your customers. Below you can see the recently shipped and ready to ship features from two different products.

List reports can be sorted, even across products, so you always know what is happening throughout the organization.

The work of a product manager is hard enough without having to wrestle and wrangle large sets of data to get the insights you need.

Aha! reports give you the analytics platform you need to manage your product with conviction and quickly answer tough questions about what is complete and what is planned. We provide the reporting features you need, along with the templates you want so you can analyze what’s happening without spending hours duplicating data and manipulating spreadsheets.

Happy reporting!

    @Jessica
Great to know about and we’re excited to use these templates. I noticed in the Communicate progress against goals image, there’s a % complete towards the goal in that report. I can’t seem to find in the tool how to get that to show up in Fredwin Cycling. Was that a custom field added in Fredwin on your Aha! instance?

The value that field presents is immense if your goals are broken out to support a % complete.

    Thanks,
    Greg

      Hi Greg,
Happy to hear you are excited about the templates! You are correct, the % complete was a custom field added to Fredwin Cycling. I used a predefined choice field, but there a number of options that could work there.

If you need any help getting that added to your account, send us a message at support@aha.io — our team of former product managers is standing by to help.
