Just Launched! — Access Key Product Data With the Expanded Aha! API

Aha! is at the center of strategic and product planning for thousands of organizations. We know that it’s important for you to easily get data in and out of Aha! We already provide numerous pre-configured integrations, allowing you to work well with popular apps including Atlassian JIRA, Rally, Microsoft TFS, Zendesk, Salesforce, and Slack.

But we also know that many of you want custom integrations that sync directly with your own existing tools and internal dashboards. This is why we continue to invest in the Aha! API and make it a pleasure to work with.

Today, we launched a new enhanced Aha! API that makes it easy to integrate your product plans with your existing internal tools that you depend on.

Now you can create, retrieve, update, and delete key product information using Notes via the API.

Aha! Notes can be used as wikis to capture and share product information with your team including: meeting notes, research, and more. These new features add to the already extensive capabilities of the API. You could already create, retrieve, and update key product information related to: Initiatives, Releases, Features, Requirements, and Ideas.

You can use the new API to deliver real-time product information by populating critical business systems and internal dashboards. Ultimately, this will enable you to:

Increase collaboration
Create and share key knowledge base articles and best practice documentation. Creates Notes in Aha! and share them with internal team members on your internal wikis.

Capture customer feedback
If you give them a voice, your customers will tell you what matters. By capturing customer feedback in interviews and other meetings, you can help your team stay close to the sentiments of your customers.

Provide visibility into strategic plans
It is critical to keep stakeholders up-to-date on strategic plans. Share status of key initiatives directly to your corporate dashboards.

Share meeting notes
Aha! is the single source of truth for everything product management. Now you can instantly share key meeting notes and research across all teams in your internal wikis.

Using the new API, you can extend Aha! to play nice with the existing tools you depend on to get work done today. And depending on your programming talents and needs, the possibilities with the Aha! API are limitless.

By integrating with Aha!, you can provide key product and strategic information including product goals, initiatives, releases, and features exactly where you need them.

Configuration
Aha! provides a REST API that can be accessed directly from another web application or from within a Javascript single-page application. The API can be used from any programming language.

Anyone with an Aha! account can use the Aha! API, but all requests must be appropriately authenticated using either Oauth2 or HTTP basic authentication. Our API can be used from any programming language and detailed documentation is available at www.aha.io/api. If you have any questions or need help, please email support@aha.io.

Goals are not accessible through the current API (you can only create a strategic imperative ; this is really limiting. The same for important information like personas, competitors, business model, strategic overview. So the affirmation “Provide visibility into strategic plans … Share status of goals …” is not possible yet.
