Our idea management software (often referred to as idea software) just took another few leaps forward. You probably already know that by combining the ability to capture ideas, rank them based on value vs effort, and then prioritize them on a roadmap makes life easier for product teams everywhere. And this was the vision behind why we introduced idea management in the first place. Well, we just enhanced it with three new capabilities and we are still just getting started.
The built-in idea software in Aha! allows you to centralize the capture of and prioritization of ideas — ultimately shortening the innovation cycle in your company.
You can finally empower customers, employees, and other stakeholders to submit ideas (via a custom branded portal) that you can actually act on. Capture them all in one place, visualize their priority, and promote the ones that matter to features. You can finally embed idea management directly into your product management and roadmapping process and be happy.
The additional capabilities are now available and ready for you to take advantage of. Go to Account settings -> Ideas settings and portal to get started.
Correspond directly with idea contributors
Customers have been busy submitting ideas to us via our ideas portal and we wanted a way to easily ask for additional information or provide status. So, you can now interact directly with the idea contributor by responding directly through Aha! This also ensures that any back-and-forth is recorded for the rest of the team and is available if the idea is promoted to a feature and prioritized for development.
Email idea submission
You can now have your users or customers email ideas in (by product) with attachments by sharing the address that is listed in your Ideas settings and portal config screen. To make it even easier for your users to remember the address, you may want to create a simple email using your corporate domain (e.g. firstname.lastname@example.org) and have it forwarded to the appropriate Aha! ideas address. Combine this approach with the ability to publish a custom-branded and configured portal with the fields that you want completed to ensure everyone can submit their best ideas.
Your responses now have your name and email address in the from address
Aha! ensures that the back-and-forths that previously took place about new ideas in email are captured in a single product management system of record. We also now format any email exchanges that are related to an Aha! idea, feature, release, or comment with the address of the user who added the information. This makes it clear who is responding — yet when a user replies via their own email client the response it automatically captured by Aha! and tied to the appropriate source.
We want you to give your customers and employees an easy way to submit ideas — and as importantly you an easy way to manage what is submitted.
